Davis Mountains State Park

The 2,709-acre Davis Mountains State Park is located in Jeff Davis County, Texas. The closest town to the park is Fort Davis. This park is at an elevation of 5,000 to 6,000 feet above sea level. It is perfect for hiking, picnicking, and other outdoor activities. There are many different trails to explore, and the park is great for families with children.

The park is well-known for birding. A bird blind is located in the park, which is dubbed the “best bird blind in Texas”. The park is home to many birds, and many breed in its elevated habitat.
