If you’re planning to stay for a few days, you can either drive around the city, or you can even get a ride from the many taxi companies which are present in the region. If you are a tourist from out of town, and you are searching for a fantastic time, and an affordable price, then this is certainly one of the places you should visit.

The city of San Antonio has some of the best tourist attractions, which include San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.   a very large water park called Mission Mountain.  From their site:

After 10,000 years, the people of South Texas found their cultures, their very lives under attack. In the early 1700s Apache raided from the north, deadly diseases traveled from Mexico, and drought lingered. Survival lay in the missions. By entering a mission, they foreswore their traditional life to become Spanish, accepting a new religion and pledging fealty to a distant and unseen king.

The Mission National Historical Park is an incredible way to spend several days.

If you’re interested in history, then you want to be certain that you make a stop at the Bandera Fort, which is just around the corner in the Old Main Station at San Antonio. Also called the”Red Watch” or the”Old Star of the West”, this is just another example of how much San Antonio has to offer.

If you are traveling by public transport, you may either use the free buses, or you may get a ride from a taxi. You can also take a great walk along the river or take a scenic drive around the city.

The San Antonio River Walk  (likewise referred to as Paseo del Río or simply as The River Walk) is a city park and network of sidewalks along the beautiful San Antonio River.  It’s one set of steps below the roads of San Antonio, Texas.  This tourist Mecca is lined by bars, shops, restaurants, nature, public artwork, as well as the beautiful historical sites.  The River Walk is a fundamental part of the cities character and essence.  It’s an incredible tourist attraction in its own right.

The March bi-annual flea market is also a terrific way to spend the day. Lots of the dealers and sellers are from all over the world, and they will sell everything from fine art to toys, novels, fashion, and much more.

The Grand Opera House in San Antonio has been running since 1882 and provides many amazing concerts, and events each year. You can also enjoy a concert, theater, or a performance by Alamo San Antonioprofessional opera dancers.

There is a wide assortment of unique shops and cafes in the region, and the restaurants are very tasty. If you are traveling with a group, you can even take advantage of the special rates on hotels and other lodgings.
