The University of Texas at Arlington is a public research university in Arlington, Texas. Founded in 1895, the university was formerly part of the Texas A&M University System. Students applying to UT Arlington must meet certain criteria. Students with a 2.25 GPA are usually accepted, although applicants with lower scores may be considered on a space-available basis.
