The University of Texas at San Antonio is a public research university located in San Antonio, Texas. It is home to more than 34,000 students on its 758-acre campus. It is the largest university in San Antonio and the eighth largest by enrollment in the state of Texas. The University of Texas at San Antonio is highly selective, with an acceptance rate of 84%. However, it is important to note that acceptance rates are based on comparisons among applicants. Most accepted students had SAT scores of 510 or higher, while 29% had an ACT Composite score of 19-25.

The University of Texas at San Antonio has been recognized as a Tier One research university by the Department of Higher Education. This designation allows UTSA to attract top scholars and enhance university research initiatives.
