One of the state parks in Texas, Lake Corpus Christi State Park is located on the shore of Lake Corpus Christi in San Patricio County. It is southwest of the city of Mathis and was established in 1934. Since then, this park has become a popular destination for families and nature lovers.
There are 108 campsites at the lake and nine cabins for rent. The campground is large and many sites have trees for shade. Twenty campsites are full hookups, 19 have water and electricity, and 57 are unhooked. Some sites also have flush toilets and showers. In addition, there are WiFi connections and boat ramps. The park also offers paddle board rentals.
Another popular activity at the park is fishing. The park has two lighted piers, one across from the Opossum Bend Camping Loop and one in Catfish Cove. Both have fish cleaning stations and are ideal for catching a few fish. Common fish species include Blue, Flathead, Channel 
Catfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, and Striped Bass.
Lake Corpus Christi State Park is a 356-acre park located near Mathis. It opened to the public in 1934, and many of the park’s facilities were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, and picnicking in shaded picnic areas. The park also offers beautiful scenic views and wildlife viewing.
The park is 40 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. It is located on Lake Corpus Christi’s shore, a 25-square-mile lake. It was created by damming the Nueces River. This water supply reservoir was originally intended for the City of Corpus Christi. Its surrounding communities include Mathis, Sandia, and Lake City.
The park is popular with migrant birds. Many of these birds breed in the northern United States and spend the summers in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean islands. The park also has several bird feeders and four birdbaths. Visitors can rent paddleboards and kayaks from park vendors. Another attraction is a book exchange near the park’s entrance. The park is a great place to get some exercise while learning about the area.
