Lake Mineral Wells State Park & Trailway is a state park located in Mineral Wells, Parker County, Texas. It features a lake and part of the Western Cross Timbers and Mineral Wells Trailway. Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping here. You can also enjoy the park’s many wildlife viewing opportunities.
The park includes 3,000 acres of natural beauty, hiking trails , and a lake. The landscape is steep hills, deep ravines, and open savannah. It is home to numerous blackjack oaks, post oaks, and elm trees. The park also has eight screened shelters.
The 640-acre lake in the park is a popular spot for fishing. You can catch crappie, sunfish, and catfish here. There is also a rental center for fishing equipment. There are many trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. The water in the lake is rich in largemouth bass. Check

The park was established in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corp. and features plenty of history and family-friendly activities. The park is centered around a 646-acre lake and features no speed limit. The park is also a popular destination for rock climbers.
The park has four different types of campgrounds. Each site has a fire ring, picnic table, and outdoor grill. There is also a designated area for equestrian campers. There are showers and restrooms available on the grounds and at each campsite. The park is open year-round.
Visitors to the park can enjoy hiking, camping, boating, and fishing. The park is also home to the Lake Mineral Wells State Trailway, which connects historic downtown Mineral Wells with Cartwright Park near Weatherford. The park is along Rock Creek, a large tributary of the Brazos River. It was once home to several Native American tribes.
The park is rich in history. Famous for the Crazy Water Company, the park also features the Baker Hotel and Spa. In the 1920s, it was famous for mineral baths and entertainment for the rich and famous. Currently, it is undergoing restoration. The park is also home to Penitentiary Hollow, which was once home to criminals.
