Childers Classical Institute

Abilene Christian University (ACU) is a private university located in Abilene, in the U.S. state of Texas, affiliated with Churches of Christ. ACU was founded in 1906, as Childers Classical Institute. Abilene Christian University’s fall 2014 enrollment is 4,427 students of which 777 are graduate students. The number of students enrolled breaks down to 1,112 freshmen, 806 sophomores, 762 juniors, 892 seniors, 78 “non-traditional” students, and 777 graduate students.
